We use starters. We lack team speed and depth. It's that simple.Think Schiano, he realized that to close the talent gap he needed to throw everything into special teams, even if that meant using starters. He carbon copied what was done at Virginia Tech by HC Frank Beamer.
so far the legacy is that RU special teams are at bottom of every division one stat..net kickoffs, net punts..ect..the Schiano/Flood years are over, those coaches and that legacy is history so this coaching staff will write its own history on special teams
100% agree. It's the chosen philosophy of this coaching staff, and I fear they have over looked a key element to helping win with inferior talent.Agree with RUready. That is a practice Flood continued. I do not think our talent level is anywhere near as low as what Schiano inherited.
Was the difference today for sure.
Turay in thete forbkick block - so much for the know it all's claiming that because this post surgery condition he would not be in there for kick blocks. Just shows you that the staff has it correctly utilize them all year if he's able to be in a kick blocks.
Okru h should be locked in a room with tapes of the GS last five years of special teams and told to attempt to replicate
Ha Were you one of those who tried to tell us turay would not be in on kick blocks this year? That said with conviction renet didnt turn out accurate did it
