Not sure what capacity yet but it appears Joe Rossi is headed to the Land of 10,000 Lakes with Fleck. Is Fleck going to hire Flood next? This is getting a little ridiculous.

Flood was OL coach from 2007-2011. Here's what our our O did in his time as OL coach:

2007 - 18th (best year in RU history, NO question)
2008 - 39th
2009 - 97th
2010 - 114th
2011 - 99th

....case closed. Actually I'd love for him to be at Minnesota lol!

What about 2005 & 2006

Flood was hired as the offensive line coach for the Scarlet Knights in 2005.

2007/2008 Experienced QB
2009 true Freshman QB disaster of a scheme switch
2010 true freshman QB disaster of a scheme switch part 2
2011 true freshman QB

Flood was a disaster at HC...there is no single person on this board who holds credence to me about him as an OL coach. I still see much of those OLs at my house each summer.

Switching from a pro style offense to a spread with pro style players hurt

Who was the OL coach that charted the holes for Ray Rice

2005 - 44th
2006 - 58th

...so as time moved along, and he lost Rice, he FAILED miserably. In part, because he sucked as a recruiter, but that's part of the job.

Someone else said a few days ago... Fleck is putting the band back together.

Track records speak for themselves. Good coaches sustain success. Period. You can't live off of 1 good year forever. It doesn't happen anywhere.

I'll give nuts and anyone else their due to say they called it right on Floid as a HC.
Anyone that thinks he had full control of OL recruiting is wrong and anyone who thinks co-oc was anything more than a fake title to reward him for his OL work is an idiot. Straight from the guys who were getting dirty and not posting on a message board. "His duties never changed with the title or when Greg said he was in charge of OL recruiting"
Same guys who got dirty for him- to a man, will tell you he was a great OL coach.
Lots of reasons for the failures that include major misses with no backup plan and so many other things. It sometimes sounds from you all that Flood only made an effort up until Kevin but after that he just gave up or forgot OL.
It ended up mostly being recruiting but 2010 and 2011 should have been guys recruited in 2006-2008. Sorry but at that point, Flood didn't "own" OL recruiting...
So, I'll take the word directly from those OL over anyone here.

Neither was Leonard and Rice lol
talent overcomes a lot :D I give a lot of credit to the OL coach before Flood for some of the o-line play in 2005 and 6 because he started the development of the juniors and seniors Flood inherited when he was hired in 05.
