Rossi's D gave up 6.4 miles in his 25 games

The criminally inept Rossi coached a defense that gave up 11,500 yards in his 25 games as a def. coordinator. That includes non D1 schools.

There is absolutely no way we don't have at the least a new defensive co-ordinator next year.

Changes usually happen soon after the last game....If he is let go, then, we know Flood is probably staying.

If you factor in the series in the first half where half the plays were nullified due to penalties, it's closer to 7.4 miles...

He should enter the defense in the Rutgers Unite Half Marathon and run it from the finish line to the start!

Not disagreeing with the general sentiment about Rossi. But do we have one safety who can come up and make a tackle on a running play. Where are the Courtney Greenes on this team?

Agree on the safety issue JP. Our safeties start back more than 10 yards on each play and are backpedaling on the snap. When it is a run they sprint towards the runner and come up too far, and one cut and they are looping around and in pursuit. Multiple safeties have done it this year and in past years so I take this as poor coaching on positioning and approaching the play.

I would be leery of Rhule due to his PSU connection but I noticed in the ND game on ND's final TD pass he was angry that the safety did not break it up. What caught my eye was the safety was perfectly positioned but whiffed.

While watching the FL Fla St game a FL rb broke through the line at high speed. The Fla St safety did not sprint at the rb but came up in control straight at the rb and when the rb made a cut he made the right angle and nailed the rb. No question in my mind this rb would have taken it to the house against RU.
