Navy is Navy and will come at you every minute of every bout. They are 3-3 in dual meets having beatenGeorge mason 23-9, Maryland 20-18 and American 32-10. They have lost to Drexel 24-16, Lehigh 30-6 and North Carolina 27-6. They have some tough, scrappy kids and will be a test of our mettle.

Possible lineups

125 McCabe vs Cam Timok (he is a freshman recently in the lineup and tough)
133 Delvecchio vs Colton Rasche (he is a tough nut)
141 Ashnault vs Pat Prada
149 Theobold vs Corey Wilding ( decent kid and a good test for Theo)
157 Perrotti or Painton vs Drew Daniels or Jon Clemente
165 Visicaro vs #13 Peyton Walsh
174 Backukas vs Jaden Bernstein (NJ star who is killing them as a frosh, good test for Phil)
184 Parfumi or Hrymack vs Michael Woulfe
197 Camp or Normandia vs Steban Cervantes or Paul Rand ( Rand is very tough)
285 Smith vs Colynn Cook

We have to show up and wrestle an offensive match because you know Navy will come at you a full 7 minutes each bout. Phil vs Jaden will be an interesting test.

125 Timok - Like Wng says new to the line up 5-1 but looks to be pretty good. This will be a good test for McCabe who only has 1 win over a kid with a winning record and that was against Josh Patrick.

133 Rasche - 3-6 pinned by Kevin Devoy in under a minute (Girialdo beat Devoy this year). Delvecchio should take this one maybe even bonus.

141 Prada - 5-9 Ashnault should bring us bonus points here.

149 Wilding - 8-12 Theobold should take this and keep the train running.

157 Daniels - 9-10 look for Perrotti to get back on track here

165 Walsh - 30-8 best kid in the lineup wrestles a ton of matches Hope Visicaro can keep it close.

174 Bernstein - 17-11 I remember him well from HS because I wanted RU to get him. Wng said it god test for Phil but a match he should win. With all the hammers he has been going against recently he should welcome this match.

184 Woulfe - 12-12 Pafumi has 2 common opponents with Woulfe and they are both 1-1 against them. Could be a close match.

197 Cervantes 10-9 or Rands 15-10 - This would be a great spot for Camp to come back. If we go with Ralph I assume a loss here.

285 Cook - 11-14 I look for Smith to score some points in this one.

Matches we win I see bonus points and the few we loss I see close matches.

If you click this link it will bring you to wrestlestats where you can click the oval between the two wrestlers and see there common opponents. Really a great site for NCAA D1 wrestling.

Since I am coming from South Jersey and am going to catch both Navy and Ohio State me and my son are going to just get a hotel for the night. If anyone wants to meet for dinner after the Navy match let me know.

This match will be closer than you think as Navy is better than their record. They are capable of winning or keeping it very close.

Rutgers needs to win 8 bouts. 7 would be considered respectable. Anything less than 7 wins is not acceptable. 9 is a possibility. RU needs to produce.

I have a pair of tickets for the navy match to give away for free to anyone who wants them. Tickets are in hillsborough.

I told you all that this one was going to close. We did not wrestling our best but my Navy friend told me they are getting better every day. With that team loaded with freshmen, they will be tough in the future.
