RU's 1st team All-American, Amirah Ali, was drafted by Portland in the 3rd round last night. Great place to be a women's soccer player - Portland averages over 15,000 fans per game.

Congratulations to her, it’s great our women can stay home, make a living playing professionally in their own country, and compete on the National stage for world championships.
In order for our men to truly complete on the world stage, their core players had to have played in Europe or South America for a significant amount of time.
MLS simply doesn’t prepare our players to compete Nationally.

I assume this does not impact her ability to play a spring season at RU this year if she does not sign a contract beforehand?
