Heard from a good source that we will be playing at John’s at the UBS Arena
Why there? Could this be a NIL type of game?Heard from a good source that we will be playing at John’s at the UBS Arena
Why ubs? Why cant we just sign a home and home? Long island? Come on man hahaHeard from a good source that we will be playing at John’s at the UBS Arena
Not necessarily losers.. Some of them might prefer a venue that's easier for them to get to because they'd like to attend the game.... Will you be going? Here come all the losers complaining about the location of a neutral site game
Good news is that there’s 15-20 home games they can attend. A neutral site game isn’t supposed to be in your backyard and if they wanted to go that badly it’s not that far away. Not necessarily losers.. Some of them might prefer a venue that's easier for them to get to because they'd like to attend the game.... Will you be going?
This. Long Island is not neutral if playing SJU. It’s far worse than playing at MSG.A couple of things...
1. St Johns non-conf schedule is pretty much set already, maybe they need to add one more game which I guess could be us?
2. Not only are they playing home games at MSG and Carnesecca, but they're also playing 3 home games at UBS this season. Not announced which yet. But this wouldn't be a neutral court game in that event.
Not buying it. We're really looking for a third P6 non-con road game along with Seton Hall and Wake?
Why play them?Heard from a good source that we will be playing at John’s at the UBS Arena
Look - if we’re playing a designated true road game against them out at a nice venue in Long Island, I’m okay with that. We can use anything that boosts SOS. It would be downright foolish to agree to a “neutral”game at a venue 7 miles (15 minutes driving) from SJU main campus. Why play them?
It's not the distance, believe me. UBS is on the Cross Island Parking Lot. A nightmare road if there ever was oneGood news is that there’s 15-20 home games they can attend. A neutral site game isn’t supposed to be in your backyard and if they wanted to go that badly it’s not that far away.
No the issue is that it’s right next to St John’s. As in, close enough for current students to bike there. It’s not neutral at all. We should not play a neutral game against them there. That would be downright awful. It's not the distance, believe me. UBS is on the Cross Island Parking Lot. A nightmare road if there ever was one
Here come all the losers complaining about the location of a neutral site game
Correct. To be clear, I’d be for it if we’re getting an up front guarantee that it’s a road game - likely quad 1. Let SJU control the ticket sales and this will literally have zero impact on our attendance anyway. Its not neutral site at all and would be 75% St Johns
Neutral would ironically be msg which is their home. Playing at ubs is effectively a johnnies home gameIts not neutral site at all and would be 75% St Johns
No truth to this. Possible games against Big 12 and PAC 12 teams, but time is running out to schedule. Many games have fallen through.Heard from a good source that we will be playing at John’s at the UBS Arena
Any truth to the local rival game in November? A home game vs. Princeton would be great. No truth to this. Possible games against Big 12 and PAC 12 teams, but time is running out to schedule. Many games have fallen through.

JFC. Why can everyone else in this league get a games signed but with Rutgers they always "fall through."No truth to this. Possible games against Big 12 and PAC 12 teams, but time is running out to schedule. Many games have fallen through.
well that's one good rumor down the drain. No truth to this. Possible games against Big 12 and PAC 12 teams, but time is running out to schedule. Many games have fallen through.
Several reasonsJFC. Why can everyone else in this league get a games signed but with Rutgers they always "fall through."
Its really as simple as signing home and homes or playing in a holiday tourney. We refuse to do so. Have no one to blame but ourselvesSeveral reasons
1 - Rutgers likely doesn't want to play a true away game and other teams don't want to visit JMA bc of its raucous atmosphere
2 - Rutgers is trying to get a game in NYC area which still tilts the game in our favor but other teams don't want that obviously
3 - The way our fans complain if the game was anywhere but JMA they wouldn't show up bc they're too mentally inconvenienced to get on public transit
road game yes, not neutral site one, if played in LIThis would be a good road game against one of the greatest coaches of all time
Yes , that’s what I said , right ?road game yes, not neutral site one, if played in LI
Can you comment on why no Princeton ever? Sorry if I’ve missed a previous post of yours on the topic. No truth to this. Possible games against Big 12 and PAC 12 teams, but time is running out to schedule. Many games have fallen through.
yep, don't worry I was agreeing with you .Yes , that’s what I said , right ?
No one is afraid to play at the RAC,just like no one is afraid to play at Cameron or Assembly Hall. The games which we reference were once played as home and home games. Those days are over. They are either neutral sites or Feast Week. And they now, at some places involve an NIL guarantee from the promoter, if the collective is the middle man.I don’t know why teams are afraid of playing us at the RAC. Did they watch our last four home games this past year?
The people complaining want it at msgIts not neutral site at all and would be 75% St Johns
There’s 10 mich state fans in nyc. St johns would dominate the crowd at msg. Especially with the off-season they just had. What was the attendance split at MSG for the MSU game?
I find the reactions of "it wouldn't really be neutral because St. Johns would pack the place" a little weird.
Considering the extreme reaction when the MSU game ended up being considered a home game and not a neutral site game.
There’s 10 mich state fans in nyc. St johns would dominate the crowd at msg. Especially with the off-season they just had.
UBS is one of St Johns home courts this year. It's not the same thing. That was the point.
I meant a “neutral” game at MSG against MSU was dominated by Rutgers.
Similar to how SJU would allegedly dominate a “neutral” game at UBS.
But when the MSG was moved to not neutral the reaction was outrage.
You can't actually think No. 3 has an validity whatsoever? That's too preposterous for words.Several reasons
