ABOUT MICHIGAN STATE
"Like the Scarlet Knights, the Spartans opened up Big Ten play on Thursday in the win column. Michigan State defeated Indiana on the road, 68-46, to extend its current win streak to six.

Michigan State, who is just above Rutgers in the receiving votes category of both major polls, welcomes the Scarlet Knights with an 11-3 overall mark.

Junior center Jenna Allen leads a trio of Spartan double figure scorers at 11.5 points per game along with a team-leading 5.6 rebounds per contest.

Following Allen on the stat sheet are redshirt senior guard Branndais Agee at 11.0 points per game and freshman forward Sidney Cooks at 10.4 points per outing.

Sophomore guard Taryn McCuthceon, meanwhile, is second in the Big Ten in assists dishing out the ball on average of 5.5 times per game.

The Spartans lead the Big Ten in rebounding margin, out-hauling opponents by an average of 10.8 rebounds per game.

This school desperately needs a team to show the rest of the league that we can compete. Go girls.

Certainly not one of our better first halves. Tyler played short minutes. Jordan Wallace and Desiree Keeling got minutes in the 2nd quarter after not playing at all in last few games. Hopefully CVS is looking to come back hard with starters in the 2nd half.

I guess Viv is limiting Scaife minutes for health reasons as she didn't play last year and she is building up her stamina ????

Against Purdue, the Purdue point guard #1 played every minute of the game and was the biggest reason Purdue even stayed up with RU.

Hopefully by the end of the season Scaife can play 3/4 of a full game. She did play more 2nd half mnutes last game it seemed, than first half minutes.

Trying to make big plays when there isn’t anything there. Two straight possessions with long passes that can’t be handled.

Our player gets mugged going for a layup and no call. Viv looked like she went ballistic on the no call.
Going to be very tough to beat both MSU and this ref crew

Game tracker froze with 8 minutes remaining.Rutgers led 48-44 with Scaife scoring 17 points.
