Rutgers activists were nearly suspended for disrupting university president's speech

Rutgers University student activists and faculty union members say two undergraduates were told they would be suspended by the university after they disrupted a speech by the Rutgers president last fall while protesting for a $15 minimum wage.

I was there when this happened. This was not a protest, it was a disruption of a speech given to alumni by the president of the university. The students should have been arrested and fined and/or suspended. You just cannot go up to the podium where a public official is speaking and lean into his microphone while he is giving a speech. That is completely unacceptable.
