doubtful...Very doubtfulDown the road, I could see Paetzell and Suriano in some great matches at 125.

Suriano might be better than Ash. Meaning he's expected top 4 this year. Definite AA.
Paetzell is expected to make the NCAAs (mind you, as a frosh, I'm not trying to downplay him).
But that's a big difference between the two.
pl..agree on 90% of your remarks. In fact,I was thinking the same thing.I'm not too sure about Giraldo though.I would think he knows the drill, has had a year too adjust too 149lbs,and wrestles with top level talent at his weight already.I hate being a downer, because I had too wrestle under Scacchi and that was soul wrenching enough.Given positive role models like Goodale,Pritz and Leo,you would want as alumni too have the continuous role of positiveness and outcome.Being around this program as a wrestler,as an alumnist ,and now coaching rec,you can see when someone is burnt out.Giraldo is burnt out.He should have been All American by now, given his incredible talent. Not everyone can has Perrotti's cajones and fortitude.Or we would be ranked in the top 3 consistently. It's also got to be tough for him too take a back seat too Theo right now.Same goes for DelVecchio. Those two on any other given team would shine. It's funny how RU is now in the position of "oh..we have 2 NCAA qualifiers and possible AA's in one weight class"...at least at 3 to 4 weights on this team. You are definitely right about being negative is not warranted. As a former RU wrestler,I have been tortured in the past by friends about the program..sucking( doesn't matter what state title you won)! When I see signs of disinterest and burn out,I kind of find obligating too point it out, instead just sitting their with horse blinders, pumping out posts of "SKWC..SKWC" or "Are guys are hammers this year".We have one hammer..Ash,that's it,with Gravina coming into his own "hammerness".We are gonna see real hammers this weekend and for the weeks too come. What I saw from Cal Poly was not very encouraging. The kids can't use the "warm up" teams for an excuse. These kids came too wrestle and really took it too us.Cal Poly is not anywhere near a Michigan,Illinois,or Penn State. If we prevail with Princeton, that will set the tone for this year.RU Creedo,
I'll take the bait and reply but let me first say that I appreciate that your tone has become more positive. I hate the idea of people on forums taking jabs at a student athlete's heart or drive to succeed. Having been a multi-year season ticket holder, Big Ten Plus buyer and having seen every match this year either live at the ESU Open, on Periscope (thanks Johnny Filmmaker) or on the Cal Poly YouTube Channel I will give this a shot:
Last year Giraldo was cutting so much weight that he was gassing within a few minutes. This year he is being overpowered by the above average 149ers. I don't think the reason for his record has to do with the fact that he is quitting. His best weight is probably 141.
Correnti has cut so much weight and so much muscle, that he is fatiguing quick. Hopefully, his body will hold more muscle as his weight plateaus at around 200 pounds.
I stood next to Razhonn at the ESU Open. I would estimate him to be about 5 feet 9 inches, 235 pounds. Based on his height, he should be much lighter, but he is weighed down by a few years of college football built bulky muscles. He looks like he is as strong as most of his opponents but he appears rusty as he is improving his technique with his new body type.
As always, I say, let's refrain from the name calling. All might not be rosy, but there is no reason not to be positive with this great group of student athletes. There are 2 more guys who signed NLI's for next year and so far there are a few more high level Verbals for 2018.
