Rutgers Currently 14th To Win It All

Extreme pressure on Bailey and Harper to score in very high double figures in order for Rutgers to be ranked in top 25.There is no way Rutgers will score 70 points a game without at least 35 points from them.

What if they score 72. Or…69

On paper the guys Pike brought in (and still looking for) are not chopped liver.

Offensive success is measured by efficiency and not raw points scored by 2 players.

If our 4th and 5th leading scorers are in the 8.5+ area and we play 8 or 9 players things will probably be good offensively.

Eh, wouldn't be so sure. Just a year ago we had 5 guys score at least 8.3, with two more over 7 and only scored 68 a game, good for 266th in the country. Year before, 4 guys average 9 and one at 7, same 68 a game, 245th. Year before that 5 guys at 8, 69 points.

I am going to go under the assumption Ace and Dylan will score much more than last year's #1 and #2.

I want to see 3 thru 7 score modestly, but in a very efficient manner.

FIFY, lol. I prefer positive words to describe a positive, not double negatives. But you are coming around. Nice to see!

What is FIFY?
Don't tell me how to behave......I'll make this glass 90% empty if I want to!:YesNo

Too add....not sure you want me to be too positive. I was very bullish (with concern about fatigue because of bench) before the Mag injury. I was quietly saying I could see the team going all the way

WTF does a year ago or two have to do with this year’s team? Cmon, post with more thought than that.

But what if they do? I keep thinking this.
It’s at least a non-0 chance that they just destroy the conference next year.

What if they are scoring over 40 to nearly 50ppg combined?
Just running up and down the floor.

that is EXTREMELY unlikely.

If the over/under on PPG combined is 33 PPG I am taking the under.

Yeah, I'm addressing someone else. If my post doesn't address your need for sunshine and rainbows to be blown up your ass at all times, don't read it.

I would too, but I'm fascinated to see how efficient each will be doing it. Acuff and Williams should be good at putting it in the basket too. I think how those next three perform will be a great indicator of how the season will go.

I have a hard time seeing our team as the 14th best odds without Cliff.
With him maybe. Excited to see how the season plays out.
I think it speaks to the "bull case". There may be a lot more teams than 14 that would have a higher probability of making NCAAs

Rutgers isn't winning many league games with Bailey and Harper scoring less than 33 points combined.
I would almost go as far as saying the more they score the less our chances of winning are.

I think we have the 8th leading scorer last year in college basketball on our team. He will help out with the chores.

Our offensive success will come down to efficiency. We do not want to see a ton of volume shots. We also don't want to see Harper playing over 32 MPG per game.

You are a well respected poster.....we don't agree here. Maybe I am overrating the pieces Pike has brought in.

I am really surprised that a good big man, with one year left, has not seen the potential of this team and jumped on board.
I kind of am too but now that it’s basically professional sports, it’s more about the $$ than winning championships.

This dude could get numbers as the fifth option with ball movement.
Collects the puppies beforehand…then nice gather, load and release.
And according to the highlights has never ever missed a shot.

Do the coaches know that's allowed? That sounds like the NBA.
