Moving on to his time at James Madison, DeNgohe appeared in two games while preserving his redshirt in year one (2023) before going on to appear in all 12 games as a redshirt-freshmen in year two. This past season, he finished with 28 total tackles (11 solo), 6.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, and even had a blocked extra point.

According to PFF, he graded out as one of the better defensive tackles in the nation for 2024, finishing with an overall grade of 71.8, which ranked 235th overall out of 878 qualifying defensive tackles. He also earned an 77.2 rushing defense grade, 70.4 tackling grade and a 55.9 pass rush grade.

DeNgohe has three years of eligibility remaining to play for the Scarlet Knights.

lol. 3 years of eligibility does not mean he wil be at Rutgers for 3 years
Hey, have you guys heard of this thing called the transfer portal? It means that players can leave and not spend all of their eligibility in one place. I just wanted to remind you guys because in this thread talking about a player we got in the transfer portal, I assumed you all never heard of it before.

So they aren't bound to us for the rest of their eligibility?

What about all these players that signed letter of intent? Won't they stay here for the next 4-5 years? Is it possible they transfer before they even play for us?

All this for a red shirt freshman is very impressive. He's only going to get better

Amazing, right? I think we should remind people, every time, after every highscool player commits, that A) he might not sign, B) he might not pan out, and C) he might not spend all 4 years here. You know, just in case they happen to be posting on a college football message board but know absolutely nothing about it and are total frigging idiots.
