Rutgers handcuffed by donor.......cut me a break!!!

You're such a dimwit.

Washington State lost to a D1AA program to start the year, and have won 5 of the next six, including Oregon and Stanford and us.

Just admit it, jerkoff. You're not even a Rutgers fan.

I'm not a Rutgers fan because I think that Rutgers can and should do better than GS? With fans like these...

bring back SCHIANO....hes far from perfect but at least he can stand in the same room as meyer, harbaugh, dantonio and command respect. This program needs that.
nobody can disagree with that

I don't know what you think is going to happen with Schiano. You think Schiano is going to recruit a better team than Meyer and out coach him?

Schiano won in the same league as Edsall. Neither belongs in the Big Ten.

Flood is fine, you guys still may make a bowl, that is just stupid to be angry you got pummeled by #1 Ohio State with JT starting.

Maryland looked a lot better than Rutgers, but seriously JT didn't start or play much.

The idea that some Rutgers fans would take the time to LIKE this comment is disgusting. Schiano beat Big Ten teams while here. The standard for GS as Rutgers coach should not be if he can beat Meyer at OSU. It should be if it would instantly improve Rutgers football... And it would. When we get to the point where we come close to beating the big time guys then maybe we should then revisit if a new hire can beat OSU. For now I'd be happy with making a game of it.

Flood beat Big Ten teams too. He beat one a little over a week ago.

And while Schiano did an amazing job improving the Rutgers football program from 2001 through 2006, he pretty much stagnated for the 5 seasons from 2007 through 2011, with regular season win totals of 7, 7, 8, 4, and 8. And while that is an improvement over Flood's 9, 6, 7, and whatever he does this year, it is not much better. (Even if Flood doesn't win another game this season, his regular season win average is only 1/2 game less than Schiano's 2007+ record.)

So, yeah, Schiano would be an upgrade over Flood, delivering better program control but only marginally better wins. But some Rutgers fans want to aim higher than marginally better wins.
