Rutgers is one of the ten most ancient universities in our nation. It survived the American Revolution, Civil War and all the subsequent wars, trials, and tribulations. Ever changing, yet eternally the same, as the old song goes.
Yet, sometimes it seems the loudest voices from within and outside of Rutgers including faculty, alumni, sports fans, media, and politicians are continually trying to tear it down and start again. And dear old Rutgers just perseveres and grows stronger.
