Rutgers men's lacrosse has announced the hire of Eric Seremet as an assistant coach. Formerly the head coach of Air Force for nine seasons, Seremet will serve as the team's offensive coordinator.

Seremet was on the Air Force coaching staff for 15 years, spending nine seasons as the head coach from 2009 to 2017. In that time as head coach, his record was 73-62. He was named the USILA Division I Coach of the Year in 2014 and the 2016 Southern Conference Coach of the Year. Under his leadership, the Falcons won three conference championships and made three trips to the NCAA Tournament. Seremet is also credited with guiding four Falcons (five times) to All-America status.

Rutgers confident in lacrosse coach hire after suspension at Air Force: 'He didn't do anything wrong'

"I've known Eric for over 20 years coaching against him and working events with him in the summertime. There's no better coach, leader, offensive mind with experience to attract and bring to Rutgers to help our program grow and to provide our student-athletes the best experience throughout their four years here than Eric Seremet."
