Rutgers offered 2018 big man Emmanuel Dowuona of Team Breakdown 16U team.

This kid has a high ceiling. A little raw offensively but he knows who he is -- a strong back-to-the-basket post player. At 6-foot-10 he has good length and solid frame.

He is a tremendous shot blocker and rebounder. He is not the most explosive leaper or have eye popping agility but he is powerful. Has a chance to be a Top 75 prospect.

You just described H coming out of high school, minus the strong back to the basket game.

Is RU on the Beatty kid from St Benedicts ?

Kid is a nice player------6'3-6'4 long arms------good shooter.

I would love to see Rutgers land a kid who is a great, willed rebounder, and has a lot to improve on after that.

I really do not care if he has nothing else to his skill set. Get us a stronger 8-10+ a game rebounder who wants to improve.

The best big men that are multi skilled rarely stay in college more than 1 year at a elite school like Kentucky. Most of the other big men are projects that sometimes develop but more often are complimentary type players that give fouls and get a few rebounds.

i have to agree 100%

That is why big men no longer dominate in the NBA. Place, posture, and footwork take hours and hours of repetitive practice which is not part of the NBA schedule. Even in the D league, your responsible for your own development.
Whose the best center in the NBA? DeMarcus Cousins? ..and he can't even shoot the ball, plays defense on a part-time basis, will only have a friend on the team if the team buys a dog.

@Good-Knight either Cousins or DeAndre Jordan..

DeAndre can't be on the court in the last 3 minutes of a close game. A college coach would have forced him to become a 65% FT shooter. Next year they're going to change the "Hack-a-______" rules to keep fundamentally unsound players on the court.[/QUOTE]

DeAndre Jordan played one season at TAMU where he shot 43.7 percent from the free throw line
