Rutgers - Princeton

For an Ivy League team, Princeton has a great schedule. Rutgers, Indiana, Wisconsin, Oregon State, Arizona State, Michigan State, plus Cornell, Penn, Lehigh, and the Midlands. As they can't change the Ivy schedule, they are going after many top out of conference teams.

Don't sleep on Brown down the road. They made an excellent HC hire...NC from Oklahoma who was Pitt's top assistant HC. Ivies are no pushovers in wrestling these days.

Wrestlestat's Predictions:

125: Patrick Glory (Princeton) over Dylan Shawver (Rutgers) MD 13 - 2
133: Joe Heilmann (Rutgers) over Nick Kayal (Princeton) DEC 8 - 4
141: Sammy Alvarez (Rutgers) over Danny Coles (Princeton) DEC 8 - 6
149: Anthony White (Rutgers) over Marshall Keller (Princeton) DEC 7 - 5
157: Robert Kanniard (Rutgers) over Travis Tavoso (Princeton) MD 11 - 0
165: Quincy Monday (Princeton) over Connor O'Neill (Rutgers) TF 17 - 2
174: Jackson Turley (Rutgers) over Nate Dugan (Princeton) MD 12 - 3
184: John Poznanski (Rutgers) over Travis Stefanik (Princeton) DEC 7 - 6
197: Luke Stout (Princeton) over Billy Janzer (Rutgers) DEC 6 - 4
285: Boone McDermott (Rutgers) over Matthew Cover (Princeton) DEC 8 - 6

Rutgers over Princeton 23-12

My thoughts:
  • Hopefully we see a rebound year from Poz and Turley, that wold be huge for us in this dual
  • I wonder if we see Anthony Clark in the lineup for PU at 133/141 this year. It's kind of surprising that he hasn't wrestled a single match in the last two years
  • PU has a big hole at 157, so either Kanniard or Clark should be large favorites.
  • Silva is on the WS Rutgers roster at 133, so he would be favored over Kayal as well
  • 285 could be critical (like usual) if a swing match goes against us

How old is Pat Glory? 30?

How old is Pat Glory? 30?
Graduated high school in 2018. This will be his 5th year removed from high school and Ivy’s didn’t wrestle in 2021 so it’s only his 4th year in competition. No red shirts.

The covid year caused a lot of old men to keep wrestling but Glory isn’t one of them.
