Rutgers to lay off 62 mental health workers amid coronavirus budget crunch

The thread on this topic on the other board went off in a real culture war direction.
Don't know if this is a good idea, probably not in the long run.
I happen to work with some some the top people in the behavioral health field. They are absolutely convinced there will be a large and long mental health care surge coming out of this.
But the numbers are still way down currently. The fear of infectious exposure still outweighs concerns about emotional health for patients it seems. They don't know when that will turn around.
