Rutgers to the Pinstripe Bowl!!!

So dramatic...
Ha. The real drama was how over-stressed my personal filter was in saying only what I said. It's hard to express how I feel about the watching football in that stadium without lots of expletives and exclamation points.

You know, Bennett was predicting we could finish 6-6 when he projected us to the Pinstripe. The angst on this board before the Maryland game if we do get to 5-6 will be delicious.

Nebraska gave Wisconsin all they could handle.

Maryland had no problem moving the ball, and scoring, against both OSU and PSU.

We did NONE of the above. Didn't even come close, actually.

Paid? Paid? We could be 12-0 and be coached by Urban Meyer who's starting a young Peyton Manning at QB and I wouldn't go to another FB game in Yankee stadium if you paid me.

It's far from ideal and it will be horrible if RU is 5-7 but I liked the mezzanine area with the lounges, bars, and televisions. You have the inside of the weather is lousy or outside if you want. It's really not bad considering...

I hear what you're saying but if I'm going to watch on TV, why drive all the way up to the Bronx when I can just watch on a nicer TV at home or from a relatively local lounge or bar?

And the stadium viewing sucks for actually seeing the game up there. Very few good sight lines, if any. I want to be near the 50 and both close enough, horizontally, and high enough vertically to see everything. Football stadiums are good for this. Baseball stadiums not so much. The way they orient things at YS, it's pretty much impossible to be both near the 50 and close the football sideline because the closer to the 50 you get, the farther away from the field the seats are.

This shows what I'm talking about:

Take the practices, bowl money and let the seniors get a bowl gift. Doesn't matter if you go to the game or not.

Fixed it for you. And Rutgers doesn't get paid directly for going to a bowl; the B1G pools the bowl payouts, then divides and distributes the money among all the teams.

I've been chirping this for a while now

However....what I am hoping is that we do go 6-6 and the big ten brass is smart enough to send us out west to play in San Fran where out fan ticket prescience is not as needed as we aren't going to travel well into any bowl

I would be very worried to go to pinstripe and not sell 10k in our backyard and the message that would send to future bowl reps

Pretty sad state of affairs when 4 wins against FBS teams entering the season finale would have the Flood shills doing cartwheels.

Playing a patsy is like Flood elixer and the Floodies will be screaming in joy about beating 3-7 Nebraska by a point on the off chance they don't steam roll us.

That would be good, Big ten brass will ask why the decline in fan support - answer - K Flood and Herman

You seem more concerned with the few people who like Flood than you are about our players getting the extra practices and game experience. I'm telling you, there just aren't very many people who care if Flood goes - you're fighting imaginary enemies.

Sorry, I guess candy isn't the only thing you are not well versed in.
1956 NFL Championship Game Dec.30th.
1958 NFL Championship Game Dec. 28th
1962 NFL Championship Game Dec. 30th

Three mildly important games that come to mind.

I think you need to check your sarcasm meter.

I went to the Pinstripe Bowl vs Iowa St, sat in the endzone. Was good from there, looked like some lousy seats in the uppers.

The extra practices are really overrated.

That's strange, because every coach in America says the extra practice is extremely valuable for player development, especially for the young guys.

How can more practice and another game for the 7 freshmen in the secondary be anything but very valuable? Hester, Clayton, Hampton, Austin, Wharton, James and Adams.

Anyone ever stop to think about this.....7 of the 10 players on the backend are freshmen.

How about more of the message to the RU Administration by RU fans that we have had enough of this BS. Get a real coach.
