Really good kid. Lots of potential. Good bloodline too. Nephew of former RU wrestler and soccer player Rob Johnson.
Nice pick up...Big frame...Great athlete...His Uncle Rob was a great athlete and one of the best 2 sport athletes in RU History in Soccer and Wrestling.
The same Rob Johnson who did the forward flip soccer throw in?
A great soccer player but I don’t remember him wrestling at RU. Just soccer. 1or 2x State Champion in HS, though.
He was off the mat for 4 years and wrestled his Senior season and was an NCAA Qualifier. Pretty amazing

Yep. If you grew up in Jackson in the 80’s and 90’s you were very familiar with both families. Each family had multiple kids who were extremely talented athletes and parents who coached or ran the youth programs in town. Plus, if you needed a quick tow you called Mr. Johnson who was one of the nicest gentlemen ever.
Rob was one of the best Athletes in NJ period.He did not even want to wrestle his Senior year.Took the third in high jump and also All American soccer player who played for the Metro stars.Just to think if he had wrestled full time he could have been one of the best in the country at college.He was that type of Athlete on a high level.
