Looks like McConnell grew another eighth of an inch but it’s hard to tell...
Sheridan looked great. Slimmed down a bit..prob 4-6 ounces.
There's a premium article on a recruit with mentions that RU did well in the scrimmage vs Towson.
Apparently we got off to a slow start but turned it on in the second half and “ultimately prevailed.”

Saw @Richard Schnyderite article with the recruit there saying we started slow then pounded them but curious how individuals did

According to Towson hoops message board, Rutgers won the scrimmage but one of Towson’s best players barely played so as not to aggravate an injury. Here is page 2 of multi-page note on scrimmage.

We need the season to start already so we can discuss things that really mean anything
Scrimmages aren't real games, so slow start just means whatever Pike was working on early in the game was less effective than whatever he was working on later.
Agree. The scrimmages are a waste of time unless they make it a charity game where fans can come and the teams at least try hard like our St. John's game.

Lol what? Scrimmages aren't a waste of time. Both players and coaches can use scrimmages for many things. This is wayyy off base. Have you ever played a sport before? If so, you didn't find scrimmages useful? You just want to go from practicing with your own team straight to the first real game?
For fans hoping to get info to base season expectations on...for the most part.
Difficult to put much stock into these scrimmages because each coach usually approaches them differently. Win or lose the most important thing is that nobody gets injured.
Groz knows scrimmages are important for players and coaching staff. DIrect results, score, etc. is not.

Players need to play against someone on other teams
Scrimmages prepare us for the season
If they werent important they wouldnt be scheduled.
