In some of the other threads about parking prices and donations, some people have claimed that Rutgers' prices are higher than other Big Ten schools. So I decided to post ticket and parking prices around the Big Ten to see if that is true. As I find time, I'll add schools (or others can add schools to this list too)

I'm looking at the cost for 2 season tickets on the lower level at approximately the 20-25 yard line on the home team sideline (equiv to Sec 124 at Rutgers), and season parking approximately 400 yards from the stadium (equiv to the Blue Lot at Rutgers).

First up is Rutgers.

Rutgers

Season tickets in Sec 124 are $330 per seat plus a $150 donation per seat ($80 per game). There is also a requirement of 25 priority points to buy new tickets in this section. This cost does not include the Yankee Stadium game, where 20-yard-line seats are $55.

Parking in the Blue Lot is $240 for one pass, plus a $500 donation (which can also double as the required seat donation) and 19 priority points. This does not include the cost of parking for the Yankee Stadium game, which is $35.

Total cost for 2 tickets and 1 parking pass is $1400 (or $117 per game per person) excluding the Yankee Stadium Game. Including Yankee Stadium, the cost is $1545 (or $110 per game per person). $500 of the cost is a donation.

Now, starting in the west.

Season tickets in Section 8 are $399 with a required donation of $1750 per seat ($307 per game).

I could not find information on season parking prices at Nebraska, other than it is sold out. Parking requires a donation of at least $300 (which is more than met by the per seat donation for the tickets I priced above), and is allocated based on donation level (similar to Rutgers). Non-University parking approximately 400 yards from the stadium is available at $20 per game, pre-paid, or $140 per season.

Total cost for 2 tickets and one non-university parking pass is $4438 (or $317 per game per person). $3500 of the cost is a donation.

Season tickets in section 143 are $330 plus a $300 donation per seat ($90 per game.

Parking in Lot C59 requires a $1000 donation. I cannot find any additional pricing information.

Total cost for 2 tickets and one parking pass is $2260 ($161 per game per person) PLUS any additional parking costs.

Couple of notes on the NU stuff:

The donation you listed for the referenced seats is the minimum required. If you for sure want to sit there you are probably going to have to pay more and request seats there and wait to see how it all shakes out.

The parking cost is fine it's getting high enough on the ladder to get a spot. If you want to park on NU property and with good access(400 yards is what you put) then you will be donating at least $10,000 annually or have given over $100,000 lifetime to be very close. If you want beside the stadium on East side you are probably donating 6 figures annually. You can Park a ways away and still have to donate $5000+ to get 1 spot. The donation is not in addition to your ticket donation but how much your donation is and years of donating is how you get spots. Parking spots sell for more than tickets on the ticket exchange board.

Would love to see a graph showing where all the schools fall on this list. Nebraska is INSANE. How do you compete with football cultures like that?

Our close-in parking lot prices (including mandatory donation and priority-point levels) clearly demonstrate what we all knew: Parking (tailgating) spots are valued much higher than game tickets. The secondary market for parking passes verifies this.

This is also a major reason why so many (including myself) have complained about the game at Yankee Stadium this year.

Penn State:
$400 per seat donation
$385 per ticket
$1000 min donation for preferred parking. Seat donation counts towards it. (about 500-600 yards from stadium)
$2500 min donation for reserved parking. Seat donation counts towards it.
$100 Parking Pass.
So for two tickets 25 yard line tickets and parking pass would be $1870 w/ preferred or $3370 with reserved.

There has been a steady decline in season ticket sales. Pretty sure raising prices not the best idea.

Yes, or we harken back to the early Shea years.... don't want season ticket base below 20k.
