Season tickets

I bought season tickets last week to split the games with a friend.

I insisted that I get the Seton Hall and Wisconsin games.

He was fine with that as long as long as he got the FSU game (he's a fan of their football program, but, also RU of course).

I'm banking on a team that will be in most games at home and hopefully win more than they lose.

Not really sure how many season ticket holders there are? All I know is that games are fun as hell to watch now that we have a coach. If you like college hoops; the big ten has some good competition. We should be able to hang with most teams this year and after that; the skies the limit.

Basketball, like football, is learning that being in the Big Ten does not matter. Until our teams can compete with Big Ten competition and there is chance to see a victory, there will be lots of empty seats. OOC yawners (awful/unknown opposition) and beat downs from the big boys do not sell tickets and parking tags and concessions. When you can not give away tickets and parking tags to weeknight games to friends who are casual college hoops fans, it kills you to buy tickets. Our time will come.

I think our time is already here. There were a few tough big 10 games where we were blown out but that was it. Purdue, Michigan state on the road and we had some trouble with Iowa and Maryland at home but played them better on the road. I wouldn't set we were a major player in the conference by any stretch but we were a pain in the ass to play for other teams. We should be fine this year and then the full rebuild starts to mesh with 2018 but we will win plenty of games so if you want to watch the rise; come now. The bathroom lines will be long, lol.

Your comments won't get you many likes but they are the reality to attracting new season ticket holders.Winning always matters especially in NJ since college athletics isn't strongly supported .Another key to basketball attendance is the very small number of football season ticket holders who also are basketball season ticket holders.Many have dropped their season tickets and have not returned.
