Todd Frazier, the reigning HR Derby champ, was dethroned by a genuine monster, Giancarlo (Don't call me Mike) Stanton, who hit 20 of the 21 longest drives in the competition. Frazier was up against it in the finals, but his "I got this" demeanor was on display all night. Have had season tickets to Jupiter/Palm Beach, the Marlins and Cards High A teams, so we got to see Stanton for not quite half a season, and saw him hit several huge shots. He can run, but you never want to have your bopper try to steal, just like the Yanks rarely let Mickey Mantle steal. Too much risk of injury for modest gain.
