Sky Blue FC is on the move, trying to find an alternative to Rutgers' Yurcak Field

It is a shame Rutgers cannot partner with them to build some adequate locker rooms and put bleachers on the other side. It would not be that expensive.

Yeah it's an odd situation. Murphy has more than enough money to build that himself and it could probably even be a donation to Rutgers. Won't the Rodkin Center have all this and much more for them to use in 2020?

Murphy should be embarrassed Sky Blue is even playing at Rutgers. Shows he's a cheap owner. The team needs to be big time like a bunch of the other teams in the league and play at Red Bull Stadium.

If you include pro soccer and pro lacrosse along with the four major sports, is there any other pro sports team in America that does not have a geographic name. If the Governor(of either party) of New Jersey doesn’t have enough class and pride to call them the New Jersey Sky Blue, then they should not be allowed to play at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Either use the correct name or move the team to Plattsburgh.

Sky Blue, Gov. Murphy’s soccer team, is moving -- to Red Bull Arena

Sky Blue will take a major step toward solidifying its place in the New Jersey sports landscape when it moves its home games to Red Bull Arena next season, NJ Advance Media has learned. The team will announce the news at noon on Monday.

The women’s professional team, which is owned by Gov. Phil Murphy, has played at Yurcak Field on the Rutgers campus since its inaugural season in 2009. It played twice at Red Bull Arena, the Harrison home of the Major League Soccer team, during the 2019 season, including an August game against Reign FC that set the team’s attendance record at 9,415.
