The refs botched that. That became illegal in high school football in 2006 I believe. It is a delay of game penalty on the defense.
This was a hs game, not the NFL.
The QB was lined up in the shotgun, not under Center, like Eli Manning of the NY Giants was when Greg tried this play.
You are most likely reaching for even attempting to make the comparison of this play vs what Schiano tried to do with the Bucs vs the Giants.
Other than that maybe there is some type of comparison that can be made.
