Two issues we had all season were facing great Defenses and facing them without Carroo. First a big thank you to Leonte for coming here and doing what you do.

I am not one to say bad things in public about these kids because that is weak sauce. But we do need some of these guys to step up or new guys to step in. I think Agudosi and Patton are talented kids who can improve their crafts for next season. However, I think they are similar and neither are like Carroo or Sanu in terms of style.

Grant is explosive but not sure he can be a guy you can count on to move the chains, especially with our schedule. He is a guy that we get the ball to as much as we can in space.

Any word on some of the young guys who did not get touches? Remember Carroo played only special teams as a Freshman because we had Sanu and Coleman. Who is that next guy up?

I really think our next coach will be smart enough to know that Janorian Grant is a superstar. Have any of you guys ever seen a player so explosive? He single-handedly almost beat Washington State. Yet, our coaches can't find a way to get him the ball? This is a guy that can score on any play.

He'll be a senior, and should be a starting WR. Add in Agudosi or Patton, and that's a good tandem. Then we have a lot of young talent who could shine.

Carlton Agudosi has been UNDER UTILIZED, and any OC with half a brain will get him plenty of catches next year..WITH the QB who can stretch the field...

Flood really left the cupboard bare on Big ten level playmakers through his poor recruiting. You heard this repeatidily mentioned during television broadcasts during games caroo was not in.

Yeah but that was mostly Matt Millen, and he's an idiot. There's some talent, it's just not utilized. Grant is certainly a playmaker. One of the biggest problems is that Laviano locks on Carroo, and relies on him heavily... I mean if you break down Laviano's numbers when you take out Carroo's receiving... it's frightening. So many fans wanted Rettig in, because he showed he was better at spreading the ball around. How do we know our talent, if we're not throwing to it.

Let's also not forget that Flood has a history of making awful personnel decisions, and there could be talent that hasn't even been given a chance. Case in point was when he hardly let Tim Wright play, and the guy already has 12 TDs in the NFL. Or Tyler Kroft, who was seen as a 3rd round pick, but was hardly used.

I also like what I've seen from Vance Matthews. He could develop into a good possession guy, but he was only given a chance when Carroo was out.

Time will tell, but I think a good coach will figure out a way to maximize our WR corps

I think our receivers will be fine with a new staff. Every play is basically designed for Carroo. On the first TD pass to Carroo, we had Grant wide open in the middle, but we ended up throwing a jump ball to Leonte. It worked, but I get the impression that the coaching staff had Chris locked in on Leonte all year
