Thad Matta(sp) withdrew from georgia after being offered job per espn.

It’ll be interesting to see how these openings affect RU and SHU. I doubt Pike or Willard leave, but this could create an opening at a “smaller” school like Vermont or St Bonaventures that entice Knight, Holloway, or even Hobbs

My bet is that Pike isnt going anywhere and my hope is the staff sees the future value of being part of the success and making a move then.

That’s one reason for starting This. I’ll do my best to keep up with it but if people update in the thread I’ll update the OP

I added Lousivile because I believe there was no permanent coach named.

Also Hurley is not official it sounds like

Is Hardaway official to Memphis? I’ve been working all day

I am sure Hobbs and Jay Young get looks again from other schools.

I know Young was pushing for HC position.

Not sure if anyone has been locked in on the Missouri State job but former Bannon assistant and friend-of-Woj (but no friend of Bannon, evidently), Rob Lanier surfaces after all these years...

There are a lot more openings then I realized. Added them all. Some have opened and closed so not of much interest. Most of these openings shouldn’t effect us either but until there filled I’ll leave them there

David Padgett was in a no win situation at the Ville.

Still had a 20+ win season and an NIT bid.

Maybe he should thank his former coach living the life on South Beach and always blaming others, never himself.

Carson Cunningham named coach at Incarnate Word

Dana Ford hired at Missouri State.

To everyone wondering about these openings, you're welcome.

Per Jeff Goodman's twitter (ESPN)

Also, looks like Evansville has an opening.

Looks like it for the two hires but Ill wait till official. We have seen things fall apart before

Patrick Beilein will get a mid major job. Gotta think he has the same virtues and smarts as his Dad and apparently is doing well at a D2 School.

Mack is apparently top choice for Louisville and Sean Miller denied rumors that he spoke to the Pitt AD about its vacancy.

Phil,if Calhoun and Hurley sayno to UConn, do you want the job? lol You probably have seen more high school basketball than Ollie. And Eddie Jordan too!

If Mack takes he Ville job and I would be stunned if he didn't Hurley to Xavier makes sense.

Chasing their tails ?

Splain that please

You don't really think he would turn it down do you ?

Not too much of a step down? Louisville to FAU??
I wasn't suggesting that he should go after the FAU job, but I can see how people would think that's what I meant. I should have been more clear. I was just pointing out that he would be great there. Plus I already knew that the FAU job was going to Dusty May.

Based on how he performed this season he be great in a lot of places.

Pitt should call him.

I'm sure the Loyola of Chicago Coach is going to have some offers coming his way.

FAU is not an awful job. Had Matt Doherty for a year--not much success before or since. Florida is football country, and FAU made a splash under Lane Kiffin. Basketball a poor third to football and baseball down here.
