Well, QB Spencer Rattler hits on 30 for 37 passes and the Gamecocks hang 21 on the Vols in the 1st quarter and USC rolls. I don't remember a greater blowout of a ranked team by an unranked school.

Rattler, a portal transfer from Oklahoma, had been in the Heisman discussion when with the Sooners but was pulled by Lincoln Riley for true freshman Caleb Williams after performances in the Red River rivalry games against Texas.

Good QB's do come by way of the portal. Lesson learned!

Good qbs can come from the portal and Rattler had a lot of expectations going into SC but he hasn’t done a whole lot there. Their offense hasn’t been that good this year either. I mentioned in the games thread they had like an out of body experience in offense against Tenn.

I heard on CFF Rattler had 8 TDs going into the game. He had 6 TDs in this game. At times this year, their offense has looked really bad but yesterday they were on absolute fire.
