For those that were in favor of the Big 10 having football this year - which I certainly was - special thanks to Nebraska and to Ohio State. Both schools were vigorous in their pursuit of football happening and the upcoming football season may not have occurred without their constant belligerent behavior towards the conference

Most importantly of course, the additional testing and COVID protocols were paramount and rightfully so to the conference in deciding to forge ahead with the season.

Hoping for a successful season for the conference and hopefully no COVID breakouts etc.

Really hate to say this and give any credit to Penn State as I hate that team but they really started the media uprising. First to question if there was even a vote. That started the snowball downhill.

Why exactly is it embarrassing? Because those schools fought the initial decision or because you think we shouldn't be playing?

Because why do we have a post on an RU board thanking rival schools? They acted out of self interest, no thanks necessary. Nebraska was particularly twat-ish throughout the whole affair. F them.

Yea if you think for 5 seconds that Nebraska or Ohio State acted for anyone else in the world besides themselves (let alone for Rutgers) you are sadly mistaken. OSU fought for their own $$ and playoff spot. Nebraska fought for the economy of the state and especially the city of Lincoln. We owe thanks to absolutely nobody.

Thanks NU and OSU for realizing long ago how facocked the B1G offices were...you made it super hard on yourself and wasted a lot of time, and in the end it may amount to squat when the inevitable media-caused panic attack happens! 😉
