Just got this alert on my phone.

RU ALERT: Stabbing in the area of Mettler dorm college Ave. Seek a safe space and shield/secure your location. 10/30/2015 18:44:39 EDT

Actually BAC violent crime rates are at a 45 year low hear in NJ. Property crimes are at a 50 year low hear in NJ.

Certain cities like Baltimore and Milwaukee are seeing an 8-9 year high in murders and other violent crimes.

Warning...may be graphic to some people...picture may be fake

Purposely put a space there so the picture would not show up here

Some people get stabby.

Summer pick-up ball at the Barn I once saw the results of some big guy getting his cheek slashed. Both he and the slasher seemed like perfectly reasonable nice players. When one guy was ready to destroy another with his hands, the other just reached into his backpack and got a knife... boxcutter maybe. Either one could have backed down at any time and prevented it escalating that far. Thi sis partially why I hate all the in-your-face chest-thumping that seems to become more and more prevalent.

Was it a student who was stabbed? Was the person doing the stabbing a student? Anyone know?

I may have witnessed the same Barn stabbing 25 yrs ago. Nfl linebacker Shane Conlan's brother got stabbed in the cheek in a game ... Think his name was Mike. Not really a big guy tho, but that besides the point.

Probably Barnwell - was never very "sharp" but always seemed to have an "edge" to him.

As far as I know, no one but the victim witnessed it.. happened behind some bleacher seats. Victim followed the stabber behind the bleachers in an argument, iirc. Victim was bigger than the other guy. Totally unnecessary and obviously left a strong impression.

Less crime, more coverage.

Can't speak for every city, but I know for a fact that Baltimore and Los Angeles calculate crimes differently now. It was an easy way for politicians to say they were lowering crime rates, when in fact, they were rising. Significantly.

Chicago does the same thing. They even calculate the statistics in a way that the FBI can't use for their yearly crine rate calculations.

I know it's more hearsay, but a student I spoke with last night said that she heard from someone in her group chat that one of the odor were stabbed in the gut (they said that 'intestines were hanging out'). While I'm a bit skeptical on the specifics, it does not sound (or look based on the picture) like something minor. Thankfully there are two good hospitals within 5 minutes of the scene.

I heard it was a drunken argument that got out of hand. I also heard that one of the victims is an Air Force ROTC kid.
