Every top school will target the best players in every state Al.
Syracuse just targets the same players Rutgers does.

why didnt we recruit laquint allen? He plays hard. Good receiver out of the backfield too

Fran Bown who was born/grew up in Camden, coached at Temple/Rutgers, and recruited for at least four schools in New Jersey wiil now recruit for Syracuse in New Jersey?!?!? That's ground breaking!
PSU sells itself. Syracuse does not. Syracuse does not have one commit in NJs top 20 according to @kbee.
They are wasting advertising money in the Garden State.
past recruiting isn’t the issue. It’s recruiting going forward, now that they are going bowling and have a Fieldhouse to sell.
A stronger Syracuse is bad for us because it will directly impact our recruiting going forward

There are many other examples. Off the top of my head... Ever hear of Syracuse's cocky Greg (we're going to recruit their tail off) Robinson, George "we'll be in every New Jersey HS" DeLeonne, Mark D'Nofrio at UVA with our recruiting board info and at Miami with Al Golden etc.

The last 2 times Rutgers played at the Carrier Dome I was wearing my Rutgers gear including my #23 shirt.
Took a lot of crap from the Saralose fans. Those 2 RU victories were among the best RU road wins I have ever been to.
Back to the OP. Sara is going to its 3rd straight Bowl Game. Unless we find 2 more wins it will be 1 Bowl game in 4 years for us. Going to impact NJ recruits either way. Wake up.
The point is the newspaper article cost Penn State zero. The Syracuse ad graphic was created for Jersey recruits the same way Rutgers creates ad graphics for Florida recruits. So at least Fran learned something while he was here. You wouldn’t see Penn State create a similar graphic for Jersey recruits because they don’t have to do that.
Actually, they have the #17 rated recruit in NJ's 2025 group. Small potatoes compared to what we're up against vs. Ohio State and Pedd State.
I was pointing out the present recruiting efforts for the 2025 class. That's not the past. That's now.
And, of course, these recruits can't sign on the dotted line yet....so their recruiting is still going on. Check with Chase Linton on that.
Why is that kid in New Jersey 2025 rankings if he's playing in Maryland this season per his Rivals bio?
In any event, Syracuse has 30 verbals for 2025 of which 2 at most are from Jersey. Is Al actually worried about recruiting for their class of 2026 after playing this 2025 schedule??? LOL

Every school creates graphics for recruiting and many times it involves geographic areas they are concentrating. Remember Miami doing this when they were hot in NJ. Recently Penn State and Michigan created ads and social media posts pointing out recruiting priorities heading to Ann Arbor and state college from NJ.

This is the first time I’ve seen Syracuse initiate a social media campaign for Jersey Recruits. Haven’t seen it before.
They’ll be recruiting 2026 based off this years results. The class will be mostly complete by August.

And I was pointing out that the ‘25 class is mostly done. We’re not battling Syracuse for any ‘25 recruits, as far as I know.
