Taylor to Wisconsin..

Your humble opinion is worth as much as Taylor's RU commitment.
and its equal to your opinion. You know what they say..opinions are like Aho**es,everyones got one... thanks for lending yours!

I didn't express an opinion on the topic. And in your case, I think what folks are actually saying and whispering is "you are one." But I could be wrong.

not a shock..but BS lip service by him that Rutgers was still in consideration..
also Ash needs to win two remaining games to keep this class..IMHO.

No he doesn't, IMHO. Just needs to keep looking better (or as good as Minny game). Again, I'll guess we lose another 2 kids, but not a big deal IMHO, so long as they're replaced properly. Could also be getting good news on the recruiting front the next couple months.

Look, the kid is going to his first choice.

It's Wisconsin. Great education. Good football. Spectacular campus and gameplay atmosphere.

Let's stop worrying about the whims of a teenager and focus on improving the team every week.

We can't get blown out by the blue bloods and expect to emerge unscathed on the recruiting front. That's simply not a realistic expectation.

I understand that Wisconsin was his dream school, but honestly I don't understand the love. I keep in touch with some people from Racine and all I hear is "the moment I retire I'm out of this icebox". BLOCK R is correct to a degree, Wisconsin is playing great football making it easy (or easier) for an athlete to commit. We need a win or two this year to keep this class together. If not, opposing coaches looking to poach athletes will continue to kill the football program from the top down. JMHO

Couple of months? Thanks guy.

At least it wasn't Penn State. RB recruits are replaceable to an extent.
Depends I love our backs but I think SB from State Penn is the best back in the Big 10.Will always wonder what would have happen if he came here as planned.

He would have started.. once Ash took over.

Back to Taylor,

It sucks to lose anyone but we can afford to lose a 3 star RB at this time.

There are already a few names out there as replacements so we won't skip a beat if anyone of them signs.

Had a better shot here, but I was never really a fan of his. Think his 40 time propped him up a bit.
disagree completely. He is a much better fit for Wisconsin.
That is what will suck. He could end up their starting RB but he may have been way out of place in our offense and people will look back and think we lost another good one

Nah Fanu,,like I said after you attacked me first, wear your A@@@ole badge with honor, you earned it!

Living in Wisconsin and dealing with the winters for your entire life isn't quite the same thing as 3-5 years of playing college football there.

That was quick. What happened to taking OVs to Va. Tech, Yale and Rutgers and deciding in late December?

SB would've got stuffed in the backfield over and over because we have no offensive line. Corey Clement is the best back in the big ten. Another Jersey guy ... sigh.

Cripes- our own fans are just the worst...SB has not had a great OL at all and maybe worse than ours over the past couple of years. This kid is elite and makes his own yards. I really like Martin/Hicks/Goodwin but they are not at SB's level and they have been running pretty damn successfully with our OL.

Also this quote makes me sick:
"Wisconsin is getting the best back in (New Jersey)," Salem coach Montrey Wright told Ryan Bartow of 247Sports.com. "He fits that offense good. They are getting another South Jersey back just like Ron Dayne and Corey Clement. So he can follow in their footsteps. That's a pretty good fit. He's a great kid with character."

I never liked Salem, with those witch trials and stuff

Look. Wisconsin is a great school and a great place to spend the next four years. The fact that he was offered by Yale should tell most that this was not your typical recruit but also he is still just a kid and kids are impressionable.

Ash will find someone just as good who is the right fit for Rutgers.

This is a huge loss. I love his tape. His size and speed are elite, and rare. Not sure if he necessarily fits EXACTLY into our system but he is a stud and going to be a college stud.

I sure wish this kid was gonna be a Scarlet Knight, but in 2016 a verbal commit is like taking a number at the deli or the bakery. It holds you a place if you decide to order something, but many have moved on by the time their number is actually called.

I don't think he shows elite speed on tape.

We've had 4-star RBs with track speed that never translated to the field.

I think that's the issue.

Yeah, kids who break their commitments are the first I think of when it comes to character.

Good point. Living there for school is not the same as residing there permanently. It's easier for an 18-22 to deal with harsh winters than someone older. I went to grad school at Michigan, remember leaving the grad library early evening, very hungry, began to walk the two blocks to grab a slice, ended up turning around, beeline right to the bus stop (via the campus buildings, warm up walking through them. When the high for the day is 3, and it's 2 below @ 7:30, doesn't take long for the cold to seep in everywhere.

Wisconsin has been playing "great football" for 20 years now. Not sure where you've been. This has nothing to do with "poaching" and this class is very, very much "together" compared to recent ones OTB. People just making shit up once again. I don't get it. We lost 1 - ONE - kid in this class and the "flood" - pun intended - of decommits that you, and others, claimed would start to happen, 3 weeks ago, simply HAS NOT happened.

Anyway, this kid's parents (just read everything written thus far...) have WANTED HIM AT WISCONSIN from Day 1. He got the offer, he's going there, that's all this is about.

I like his ability to accelerate in the hole. A guy his size usually does not have that burst and he does. His balance and flexibility in his hips and ankles is tremendous. Especially for someone his size he gets square and vertical very quickly.

I would like to see him lower his pad level a bit and protect the ball more though. He needs to not only use his athletic ability but to use his strength and attack tacklers.
