For me it happens in a couple of weeks when the transfer portal opens again. But it's not just about who comes in but who leaves. If a good number of players who are actually playing enter then I'll be concerned as that would mean that the kids aren't buying into what's happening. If they stay and believe in keep chopping then that's what's important to me.

It could just signal Rutgers 💰 problems. It is not just who leaves, but where they go and for how much.

A good number of guys already had offers at the heavyweights (Ohio St, PSU etc). I'm not sure how many guys would really want to scoot. I watch crypto crash. NFTs are sketchy business now. I'm not assuming the NIL thing will live-up to the hype. Sure some top guys will make-out but I cant see a lot of ham and eggers getting paid.

Wasn't even thinking in terms of NILs. More if they believe that things will turn around.

Ash:

Do you have it solid that "a good number of guys already had offers"...to transfer? I believe it would be a violation for another school to offer a benefit to a Rutgers player to transfer, during the ongoing season when our player is on the roster on scholarship.

Perhaps the “offers” are initiated by a friends of the program type person who’s not affiliated with the school

I think he’s more talking ‘already had offers’ out of high school.

An example from last year is Chop Robinson, a former 5* DE from outside of DC who went to Maryland as a freshman, only to transfer to psu this past offseason as a sophomore.

Very little loyalty anymore. So for example, if a coach wanted to offer a boatload of money for Aaron Lewis to transfer, unfortunately they’re well within their rights to do so now. And just like those of us in the professional world, often times we sign on to the highest bidder

Violation 😂, why does that even mean I this day and age.. Teams will go after other team players, nothing the weak NCAA can do about it. If they tried a player would get a high power lawyer and sue their ass. Sadly, this is where we are at.

You are forgetting a thing called Nil which has changed everything . i would use your energy on these boards to drum up money from posters not contributing. Without money we go no where .
