The "Case" for George Case and the RU HOF

So a couple of my dad's classmates played for Coach Case (NOT the '50 CWS team but a few years later) and, a couple of years ago, put some things together and submitted them to RU to get him nominated for the Rutgers Athletics HOF. They never even received a response. George Case was the ONLY baseball coach to take RU to the College World Series AND has the 2nd highest win % in RU baseball history at .579.(begin Moose at .587). He also both played (5-time all-star) AND coached in the majors. So a couple of things here:

- how on EARTH is he NOT in the RU HOF and

- why the heck did nobody at RU respond to these alumni?

So now, I ask this board, to do me, my dad, and both his classmates AND fraternity brothers a favor: let's get the ball rolling and make the "Case" for George Case!!!

Plus his family is the pork roll namesake of Case’s Pork Roll. It’s a no-brainer to have him in the RU HOF. Absurd that this has not already happened.

Great to raise this point Nuts. I played baseball at RU(1980) and talked to some former players at the Alumni game this spring and they told me the same story about the HOF submission. This needs to be resolved.

how does RU drop the ball on this as well? We should have a deal in place to serve Case Pork Roll at every event! George Jr noted at the bottom of the page on this link.
