Just a well played and well coached game with very minor exceptions. Lot of good this week.

  1. RU can't win in Nov? Guess that's another one of the RU tropes put to bed. Kusos for staff and players for seeing it all through.
  2. Monagai- Second best back in RU history. We'll have other good ones, but he's an every 15-20 year talent. Seems not long ago a poster her was saying our next RU rb in the NFL will be our first one. RR and BL took care of that and it's been off to the races since. Another 100+ day.
  3. AK--Started as a servicable B10 qb and has turned into a damn good one. The third and fourth down throws were excellent yesterday.
  4. Djabome. Shot out of a cannon at times yesterday and has improved coverage. Good game.
  5. Salaam--Good tackling and coverage.
  6. Powell and Longerbeam. Just difference makers when theya re out there and had good games.
  7. Strong--Baby Britt turning into full Britt each week. Hasn't been able to be covered sin ce mid season.
  8. Play calling (mostly) was good, and throwing with this good cadre of receivers opened the game up.
  9. Patel--Nice fgs in tough conditions
  10. Dline--Without Lewis got push and contained the run
  11. Tackling good mostly all day
  12. Much others I'm missing ona good overall day.
Not So Good (notpicking mainly)

  1. Opening drive revisiting of bad angles, bad tackling and positioning issues. Did get cleaned up.
  2. See it coming play calling. Just have to laugh when KM and AK run up to the line for some purported "change of play"...and it's always a handoff. Since UCLA the opposing D has seen it coming and KM is usually met with a run blitz. And Miller in motion and throw to him. Worked first few weeks and has been taken away since mid season. The D has seen these two coming and KC still goes to them. While opening up the throwing has done wonders, still need some motion and misdirection added and stop witht he same few repeat plays that any modicum of scouting will detect. KC has had the best rb in a generation, 3 and arguably 4 good to above receivers, and a solid injury free qb the entire season. It may not always be this good so shake it up a little with losing tghe obvious plays.
  3. Tush push from more than 1 yeard-lose it. It's too far and it's clear whats coming. Didnt work for a reason. When you have KM just go jumbo more than 1 yard.
  4. Probably some other minor but just not much to be concerned with on this day.

FUTURE GOOD (first thought)

If Toure and Bailey return, with a chunk of OL,Strong Duff Raymond and AK, there's some weapons there that can be filled in around.

Guess the OLine hasn’t improved last few weeks.

Only that it’s the OLine fault that Rutgers can’t do the Tush Push.

"Misdirection", What's that?

Misdirection---assume that is being facetious as in KC isnt familiar.

you think Kongo is the 2nd best back in RU history? Man I love the kid but once in 20yr talent? I'd take Brian Leonard, Willis, Rice ahead of him. I think Kongo is like Presley (who had almost 3k splitting carries with Willis) to be honest.

good debate anyway,

Yes above Willis.

My math was off as we are slightly under 20. Agree Ric of course and Leonard for impact but not stats.

it's a fun debate as they are all solid choices

I do think Kongo and Brian were the best blockers and pass catchers of the bunch though. Willis could catch too but the aforementioned are/were outstanding

I think KM is the 2nd best RB RU has had. I’ll give RR a little edge. His ability to make a defender miss at the LOS is top level, great vision, balance and patience as a runner. He is at least as physical as RR. Remember he is running against tougher more talented defenses than any previous RU RB has had to. His blocking is excellent. Probable 3rd or 4th rd draft pick.

If he had top-end speed he’d be elite
