THE OFFICIAL RUTGERS-KENNESAW STATE PREDICTION THREAD

Kennesaw has several guys who are very good from 3 including their top 2 scorers who shoot the 3 just shy of 50% through 5 games. They are 4th in rebounding in the country with 47 per game. This has the makings of a track meet and the team that gets into a scoring funk is going to be the one the one playing catsup all game
I predict you will once again waste 2-3 hours of your life on a recap of a game that you did not attend or possibly even watch.
CBS Sports Network (DirecTV Channel 221) has the game live at 1PM....going up against a weak NFL schedule of 1PM games.
The thing is, we don’t really know how good KSU is. They average 91 ppg, and they shoot 38.4% from 3-pt range on high volume, but they’ve played nobody:
- Toccoa Falls
- Cal Baptist
- Bryan College
- Presbyterian
- Abilene Christian
Not that our four games have been against a Murderer’s Row, but their five games have been against very low level competition.
With that said, they sure can score, and I think they’ll score on us since our perimeter defense is very suspect right now. Bombs away.
I’ve been worried about this game since it was scheduled, as playing a true road game in one of these small “bandbox” type venues is scary. PTSD from our loss to Fordham early in Pike’s tenure. But I think we can score too and will overcome. And KSU’s defense is bad (275th in KenPom).

Considering I see Bac with about a dozen other posters on my way out there has to be better ways to take a shot at him than accusing him of not going let alone watching.
This game gets me a bit nervous.
I’m concerned because :
- Game will be like a Super bowl for Kennesaw State as I’m sure it’s rare for a Power conference team to play at their gym. Crowd will be amp’d
- Could be a perfect trap game for Rutgers if they’re looking ahead to the Vegas Tourney
- Need Ace and JMIke to play within themselves as I’m sure both will be revved up given all their family and friends in attendance

I had similar thoughts and concern.
Saving grace might be that it’s so obviously a trap game that it isn’t one.
Ooofaa. Imagine H20 and 66 living in a house together.
My prediction is the opposition has a guard who will score over 30 if left open and seemingly unpressured
