Thoughts? I don't like the song and feel that it brings the whole place down, but I was wondering if it was just me or if others feel the same way.
Love it.... Beats the "Jeopardy" musicThoughts? I don't like the song and feel that it brings the whole place down, but I was wondering if it was just me or if others feel the same way.
Especially the one near the end of the 3rd quarter that talked about "...my Glock..." in the lyrics.I love it and have heard other stadiums play it..how can you not like old school Chaka Khan. Sure beats some horrible rap song or Katy Perry.
Boggs?Especially the one near the end of the 3rd quarter that talked about "...my Glock..." in the lyrics.
Who the hell thought that was a good idea?

But ya gotta love the stealth band walking around the stadium playing "Happy", don't cha? It's annoying. So is the band playing "all the small things" and the rest of their early 90s repertoire.

Don't get me wrong: I love the concept. And we used to do that when I was in the band. The difference was we'd play stuff like charges and shortened versions of Viva La Rutgers Sons, Men Of Rutgers, Colonel Rutgers, the Bells Must Ring, etc.I don't mind the assassins thing that much, with the group of brass players popping in and out around the stadium. The stale 25 year old "popular" music is a bit much, though.
Done right (with all the pageantry associated with it) a Big Time college game should resemble something like that.Do you guys go to a football game or a classic rock concert?
I think you're on to something here.:sunglasses:
