"We knew it would be a tremendous challenge to go 1-0 today..." HEY FLOOD, MARYLAND WAS 2-9! IT SHOULD NOT BE A TREMENDOUS CHALLENGE TO BEAT A 2-9 TEAM AT HOME ON SENIOR DAY!!!
But we're the ones that got screwed :chairshot::mad:Screw him for destroying the program. Screw GS for not firing him. Screw TP for hiring him.
Screw them all.

How very Flood of him to pull out a hidden immunity idol & vote out the hot chick. On TV's Survivor, he is doing what is called "scrambling". It is what contestants do when they are on the chopping block knowing full well they will be voted off the island, and desperation sets in.
I haven't watched yet but please tell us he didn't actually say this.
is that the year we lost to a bad pitt team and then to a UofL team with 1 armed and 1 legged Teddy B to "win" the conference? Then played like crap against a 6-6 VT team? Not sure if my memory is correct/Yes. Yes he did. Defiant to the end.
I laughed out loud when he said that. While not exactly analogous situations, it was still a good comeback. All in all, I thought he handled the press conference as well as it could be handled in his position. One reporter asked him if he knew if he was fired or not. Flood said he expects to be the coach for a long time. Then an NJ com reporter asked, shouldn't Rutgers let you know if you (Flood) are still the coach?. Flood said does NJ Com tell you that you are not fired? I thought that was funny.

I would argue Elmer Fudd blew 2 chances to get RU team to the BCS in 2012 ( a Team with 7 NFL Picks four months later ); loser of 20 games out of his last 22 games against Winning Teams, and a Coach that has been destroyed in 8 Conference Games in his first 2 seasons in the B1G.
Check out the 58 second mark. I'm a little off: "We knew it would be a tremendous challenge to be 1-0 today against them."I haven't watched yet but please tell us he didn't actually say this.
What a bunch of BS!!!
We've been destroyed in 9 conference games, not 8!

Got 5 minutes in and I had to stop listening.
First interview question I ask in the new coaching process, "Do you like to write notes in a book during the game?" Immediate disqualification.good, he should be able to add it all up and realize he is FIRED, take his f___ing lambert trophy and go to a bowl game 4 out of 4 years, but he will need to see a bowl game from the stands this time, I'll even allow him to write notes in his little book
Yes - agreed - it is not unreasonable for Flood to paint his time here in the best possible way. Besides the fact that hell just about anybody would in the same situation, he is in his mid 40s. This is not a Larry Coker situation ( and Coker didn't even hang it up when he was canned). In theory he has several years coaching ahead of him one would think. Probably an assistant at a lower level but hey money is money.I also like his comment on the interception: "He left the ball inside a little bit. You'd like to see Andre knock that down so it's not an interception." True, I would've liked to see that, but that's kind of blaming Patton for Laviano's bad throw.
Overall, though I am slamming him here, I think Flood's comments in the press conference are about what you'd expect. He's going to defend the job he's done.
I actually drank a few more beers and tortured my brain by listening to his presser and I thought the exact same thing. Fludd knew these questions were coming and actually thought them out. His talking points were definitely ready. I also think that he wasn't only responding to the media, he was making an attempt to talk to the people that will decide his future...whether it be boosters or admin. You don't roll out your resume, (no matter how lame it is), when you're comfortable in your job. You do that when you're looking for a job or trying to save a job.Seemed to have his talking points about his credentials ready to go. Was not compelling to me. With regard to his game comments while he tried to clarify that he was not blaming the loss on playing freshman it sounded like that is exactly what he was attributing it to. The question of course is where is the depth in the other classes so that only freshman who are ready to play have to play. I guess it goes back to that incident that he would prefer not to discuss anymore.
There goes Urban Meyer. Damn, I thought we'd get him too.First interview question I ask in the new coaching process, "Do you like to write notes in a book during the game?" Immediate disqualification.
but he is a math teacher
I'm not sure Barchi understands football...or even knew where he was thoughThe fact that there hasn't been a trace of a vote of confidence tells me that he's gone. Barchi was at the game today. He saw the mockery that Rutgers football has become. He's done.
If that's his logic then Laviano shouldn't get credit most of his throws. Most of his completions are great catches made on poorly thrown balls. Thank goodness for Caroo. He just threw Andre Patton under the bus to protect his boy Laviano. That's real classy.
And second would be - what is your record if you win the opening game?First interview question I ask in the new coaching process, "Do you like to write notes in a book during the game?" Immediate disqualification.

And Ben Carson is a Neuro who believes the Pyramids housed some type of commodity (wheat, corn who knows), there are no fossils that prove evolution (UNF'ING BELIEVEABLE) and that the Earth is just over 5,000 years old.

He really should never be allowed on campus again after this complete and utter debacle. He made a 2-9 Maryland team look like Tommy Frazier's Nebraska team in the 2nd half
