Football TKR Predictions for Rutgers Football's 2022 season

seems to be 3-9 or 4-8 from just about everyone. The record is always one thing but I think success this season can come from a combination of achieving other milestones such as:

1. Does Gavin develop and show sustained moments of the QB of the future. Can he prove to be dynamic and a playmaker.
2. Can Rutgers COMPETE and not get blown out in nearly every game. Maybe you allow for one game of losing by 21 or more. But having multiple games like that, ESPECIALLY at home shouldn't be considered success or progress at this point.
3. Can Rutgers win a conference game (OR TWO?!) at home this year? One win at home would be table stakes. This streak is ridiculous. Two conference wins at home would be a success.
4. The combination of 2 + 3 .. does that give the fanbase optimisim, hope, excitment, pride. Injecting some momentum and interest from the casual fan base is very important for this program going forward. Keep games interesting and win some games at home is the formula to start rebuilding the fan base which is a key component for a program climbing.
5. Does defense and special teams continue to develop and show as a strength ? Can Rutgers build an identity through those units? And perhaps we see flashes of offense/QB play which give hope that they can be good enough in the future for this program to become successful.

So far so good, but you missed a milestone.

How good will the OL be both at the beginning of the years and later as the kids develop and the transfers (and unit as a whole) mesh? Hard to predict, but I think the range could be from 3-9 to 5-7.

Edited to add: We've all seen over the last few years what happens when an RU RB, and this year's group is solid, runs behind a quality NFL OL.
