well guess what, it isn’t a year from now. If we are talking about him next year, there is a serious problem. But Ash lowered this program to easily the worst team in the Power 5 consistently, and right now a lot of the upperclassmen are still Ash era guys.

Indiana beat Michigan State on the road today. Don’t think they were anywhere near +21 but still why can’t RU go out and surprise someone once in a while?

Every win helps but I don’t buy into the idea that the Maryland game is specifically high leverage.

Moose, you're on point in this thread. The board is full of excuses and apologists. There's countless examples of teams that show up and are competitive in big spots. Not only is it never RU, it's impossible to watch this team and not think they're in the wrong league or are a clear step or two below the competition. It's embarassing.
And with RU leading in time os possession, what are th excuses for Schianos special defense looking awful and giving up 450 (mayve 500 by end of game) yards today?
Fans that expected anything quicker than this were unrealistic with Schiano 2.0. Maybe a different coach would have been better since we would probably have an offense.

And if you look at Greg’s Year 4 recruiting class next season it’s a joke right now, ranking near the bottom of P5 Teams.
Not really. I'm not saying the record would be the same. Just that the talent was developed over a longer period. Beyond that, he has to compete against competition with better NIL opportunities.
Based on what you saw today and with half the starters graduating after next week’s game { many of which Greg brought in thru the Portal not Ash} there is a problem with the HC now. Throw in a pathetic 2023 recruiting class the writing is on the wall.
That is the problem. High school kids aren’t buying into the program like Greg 1.0. It’s portal and JC or bust.
