I saw the thread regarding the train horn and it made me think about my own peeve. It appears that the ominous tolling of the bells occurs on every third down regardless of the situation or who possesses the ball. While I do like the usage when we are on defense and it is a third and LONG and OUTSIDE of our red zone, I do hate its use when we are on offense and in an unfavorable position on the field. Yesterday we were on offense on a third (and somewhat manageable for a competent offense) but DEEP in our own territory and sure enough the bells tolled. When this situation arises, I always wonder, who is that bell tolling for?

The guy controlling that aspect of our gameday experience is a former PSU guy.

His bias was on full display yesterday. It's certainly not the first time what you're saying has been noticed. PJ Mullen is his name. Demand his scalp in exchange for a season ticket renewal in your Fan Experience poll and questionnaire like I've been doing since Iowa.

Just be glad he didn't "mess up" and play the Nittany Lion roar over our PA like he did last year.

Ask not for whom the bell tolls. It tolls for thee....

Couldn't resist.

That is not supposed to be happening: either someone is clueless or is deliberately doing that.
