Top 5 recruits you were excited for (past 25 years)

I figured we could bring over the Top 5 list theme from the Premium articles / Football board.

Who are the Top 5 Rutgers (signed) recruits that you were excited to see play at RU in the past 25 years?

Mind you, I've only been following this team for 15 years, so my list will be missing a bunch of guys like Dahntay Jones.

1.) Corey Chandler
2.) Greg Echinique
3.) Myles Mack
4.) Abdullahi Kuso
5.) JR Inman

I just get so frustrated knowing that there are always a guy or two or three each year that are high quailty basketball players, but only like 25% of players ever make it through 4 or 5 years at Rutgers without transferring.

Phil, was the omission of Rosario an oversight? Hard to imagine that you would intentionally leave out a McDonald's All-American from your list.

Not based on achievement but based on pre-college info / hype:

Dahntay Jones - saw him in JSBL before freshman season, knew he had the physical skillsHerve Lamizana - Parade All-American, we don't get those but, alas, a non-qualififerTodd Billet - taller, better version of Geoff who we lovedWaliy Dixon - All-Stater when we never got them, although it seemed pretty clear early he wouldn't qualifyMike Rosario - McDonald's All-America, we don't get those, but after years of disappointment tempered my enthusiasm

Not necessarily an oversight. Just didn't put him in. Of course I was excited for him and he could replace most of the people on the list if I did the list 5 minutes earlier or later. Truthfully, the list reads Corey, then everybody else. Had I watched Rutgers prior to GW, Herve, Ricky, Dahntay, Geoff, etc may be on the list.

The Kuso thing was just because the dude was one of the nicest guys I had ever met. Really wish that that could have come through for RU.
