US Open

Looked like Gibson had a good string of wins after losing to Stanich. This event was so hard to follow for all of the levels. I couldn't watch it on Flo, and just didn't feel like creating another account. Ridiculous that Flo/Track wouldn't put the brackets on their sites.

Mason going 65kg says no way he's making 125. I thought I saw him registered at 61 and he went up so that's not promising

Glad he competed but agree. Really hope he can make 125 bc he is our best chance out of that weight. Unless him and Shawver flip flop but doubt that happens.
Would like to have seen what he could have done at 61 kg.

Agree he's our best shot at 125.. Smith is too small.

If he cant make 61kg in April I'm not sure he's gonna make 125 and be effective. Maybe Rutgers can grab a late portal guy it doesn't close until Friday
I think you're right on here, Corby. Competing at 65kg (143lbs) this weekend makes it unlikely he'd be able to even certify at 125lbs. The season is a long way off but that is a pretty big pull.

I have a feeling the portal will be active this week. The open is over and now guys don't have to worry about not having a place to train.

Smith has been beefing up. I don't think he's "too small" anymore, unless up against a guy cutting a lot of weight like Ventresca.

Even if he’s not “too small”. We can’t really count on to see production at 125 in b10 until we see some results first.

I read that he only lost to DP in a wrestle off by a few points. We'll see. He's got some really good offense.
I think the kid is one of the better talents on the team. From what I have seen, he does well overall but gets controlled by bigger, stronger kids. If he works at gaining muscle mass and gets good strength training guidance, he'll be good. Gibson will be better if he isn't weakened by cutting. Either way, the following year could be solid with those two at 125 and 133.

Where will Shawver wrestle? I thought he was penciled in at 133

Could be room familiarity.. and who knows with close losses sometimes.. even Fongaro lost in SV to Bartlett…. It’s good to hear he has good offense but will it work when up against tougher competition..in b10?

Hoping he has a big season but better just to have no expectations until there are some proven results..

I saw a headline that Nico Megalidus recently retired. Anyone know what his plan is post competition? Any coaching in his future

That seems kinda serious lol
A grown man tried to get a BJ from a grown woman , I hate to break it to you but that kinda transaction he’s been going on for 100s of years, he didn’t even get arrested in the traditional sense he was given a ticket and released. I don’t think the sex life of a 29 year old man matters much

I could care less, but it'll definitely hurt him going forward. I imagine he'll lose sponsorships and coaching opportunities down the line.

Only if it was done while training at different universities then it would be serious.
I’ve seen your pearl clutching and holier then thou take everywhere give it a rest it’s really not that serious, if you thump that bible any harder youll dislocate your shoulder…and why are you trying so hard to bring Penn State into this I mean the guy went to Ohio state , is a legend at Ohio state and was doing a camp in Ohio and got arrested in Columbus , what does the nlwc have to do with a grown man trying to get some on the road

He trains there now and everyone claims him so I would say he's a Penn St guy currently. I don't even attend church lol. People who say God unprovoked are the ones you gotta watch out for. If this happened at Rutgers you would be here poking fun . Don't thump that Bible now

Most Penn state people don’t claim Synder just like they don’t claim Gilman, they will root for him at trials and are happy they are in the room improving the college guys but no one forgets gilman at Iowa or Kyle at Ohio state , and no I wouldn’t be poking fun bc it’s not a big deal and I wouldn’t try so hard to connect Rutgers or ok state or Iowa if one of their guys got caught trying to cop a BJ either

Come on, that’s a ridiculous straw man. It’s illegal for a reason since many of the women in that industry aren’t there by choice. The majority of them are trafficked and exploited against their will. They are kidnapped, drugged, and essentially sex slaves who receive little to no compensation for said transaction. They are promised a better life only to be completely taken advantage of until their utility runs out and then they are discarded, deported, or killed.

Sure, a sexual transaction between two consenting adults between is no big deal like you said but unfortunately that’s rarely the case.

Your going off of something that was true 20 years ago, the culture has completely changed ,this isn’t the case any more , currently 1 million women make over 1 million dollars a year on only fans, over half of these woman sell there bodies for a certain price , there are half a dozen apps/ websites for women who want to be “sugar babies” which pretty much boils down to being a rich guys personal hooker for consistent payment, plenty of American born women go into the sex work life with eyes wide open and make more money in a few years then most of us will in a lifetime

So because high end prostitutes exist that means girls aren't trafficked 🤣🤣 . Trafficking is at an all time high. 20 years ago not so much. You've things backwards. High end hookers have existed forever
