I agree with you on that point.

Rutgers inherited separate and disjointed pieces of a medical system/hospitals and are now trying to piece together a comprehensive health care system (academics/hospitals) unifying its strengths.

Combining the 2 medical schools and integrating them with Rutgers other strong established health science programs (pharmacy/nursing etc.) will take some time but the transition has started.

Progress can be seen by the new construction projects currently underway.

Given time there is no reason that Rutgers will not succeed in this endeavor.

On the recruiting football circuit, I see that Rutgers (Greg) is really cleaning up.

I thought Greg would do well but his success so far greatly exceeded my expectations.

I'm sure most Rutgers fans can't wait for the start of football season this fall.

However, spent a lot of time in NJ from summer vacations in my youth as well as work related activities in Northern and Southern New Jersey.

Followed Rutgers when we were both members of the Big East.

Met many of them when they attended games at Heinz Field.

Good friendly fan base.
