Harper, by virtue of his all around game and by the fact that he’s a guard, is starting to assert himself as the lead superhero.

Let’s see how this plays out and if Ace starts to demand the ball more as the weeks go by and draft perceptions start to bake. I suspect that there will be some friction if Ace starts to think he is being pushed to sidekick status.

Are we really?

Or are you just trying to stir up shit (“I suspect that there will be some friction if Ace starts to think he is being pushed to sidekick status”) without any idea (1) if your scenario will come to pass, but more importantly (2) without ANY IDEA how Bailey would react if Dylan becomes the bigger star this year.

They’re both top 5 picks and the order they go in will be dictated by the draft order.

I think taking the spotlight off of Ace for a bit will be beneficial to him.

God forbid that a forum post includes perception or opinions. Let me take this down before the power of this single post ( and not the hundreds of posts after Kennesaw State and during the ND game) destroys the team chemistry.

You have 0 clue how this works. You have clearly never watched 1 single round of the NBA draft in your life, so you don’t get to post stupid takes like this. You literally have no idea what you’re talking about .. the order they go is based on the order the teams are picking that need them at whichever position, will have 0 to do with how they play this year

I literally made no mention of the draft.

Moreover, my OP stands. Harper is becoming Batman and Ace is his youthful ward.

Lol I’m pretty sure how they play will affect their draft spot. Not exactly rocket science there bub.

Absolutely, no matter how stupid.

You’re allowed to make a silly post. And posters are allowed to criticize it and disagree with it (with silly takes of their own).

That’s the way it works.

Ummmmm, what?

Yes, we have Batman (Dylan) and Robin (Ace), and Commissioner Gordon (JWill) too. The problem is the rest of the team is playing like they are Two-Face, Man-Bat, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Joker, Ra's al Ghul, Riddler and Poison Ivy.

How’ high did Kentuckys top ranked prospects get drafted last year?

Kentucky had the #3 and #8 picks.

Being a top ranked prospect doesn't immediately correlate to high draft prospects.

Class of 2023 was widely regarded as weak on high end NBA prospects well in advance.

Flagg, Ace and Dylan were tabbed as top draft picks years in advance.
That doesn't mean every #1, 2 and 3 ranking are also top NBA prospects as freshman.

You didn’t answer the question for a reason lol

Didn't I? I said Kentucky had the, #3 and #8 draft picks.
You are asking the wrong question.

What you actually want is:
"pre-season NBA Draft projection vs. post-season NBA Draft projection".
And see if there was a material drop based on poor performance.

To my prior point, just because you are a top ranked college prospect doesn't mean they are a top ranked NBA Draft prospect.

A 6'0" PG could be the #1 HS recruit. He's unlikely to be a top NBA prospect (due to his size).

Do you get the difference?

I'm not going back to see where Kentucky freshman were projected back in November 2023 Mock Drafts for the 2024 NBA Draft.
I'll just take the L and move on.

You’re writing a whole lot of gibberish and avoiding the question on purpose. The guys who got drafted 3 and 8 were the lower ranked recruits who out played the higher ranked recruits (who didn’t get drafted). Thank you for proving my point.

Ok I'll explain your point to you and how to prove your point.

Premise:
  • Lack of production by projected high draft picks can impact their ultimate draft result.

How to test that premise:
  • Compare PRESEASON DRAFT PROJECTIONS against DRAFT RESULTS for an individual player.

Do you understand now?
Just because the #15 ranked recruit got drafted ahead of the #6 ranked recruit doesn't mean anything.

Hypothetical:
  • #6 recruit was NOT rojected as a one and done player, had a bad season, entered anyway and got drafted 2nd round. He was never projected to be a high draft pick.
  • #15 recruit was a projected Top 10 pick preseason, had a good season, got drafted 9th overall.

Recruiting rankings are not directly correlated to draft projections.

If you need it simpler, I can try.

So none of the players ranked 3, 4 and 5 that went to Kentucky got drafted because their results on the court in college affected their draft status. You refusing to acknowledge that is basically admitting defeat. Could have just done that at first instead of wasting your time writing nonsense 😂

What was their preseason draft status?
If it was low then nothing affected it.

I watched several games and clearly Harper is the better player. Maybe ACE has more potential but Harper is the best player in college Bball right now
