Here's why we're so short-handed at that spot:
2012-.no recruits at that position
2013- Nick Arcidiacono and Taylor Marini
2014- Logan Lister and George Behr
2015- Anthiny Folkerts and Nakia Griffin
I think Behr is injured and Griffin must need to redshirt.

IIRC, reports on Griffin from camp were very good. Don't remember much about Folkerts. Both did need to get a bit more size on them.

I thought they played well early in the season but they've really vanished from the passing game the last few weeks.

Discussed yesterday and we have a LOT of weak position groups (despite what people here attempted to jam down our throats during the off-season).
FB = nonexistent
TE = Awful and thin
WR = Carroo and a bunch of guys who apparently can't get open
OL = OK-ish but apparently very thin as an under-performing Denman isn't losing any snaps
LB = Next year is a ghost town if Longa leaves
DB = assuming everyone comes back this year we have enough bodies, barely.
DL = We're apparently so thin that they feel the need to roll out an ineffective Turay even though he is so injured that flood says he can't practice.

As far as I can tell our only position group that is P5 quality across the board is RB. That's it, on the entire team we have a full group of P5 running backs. Weeeee. This year, probably LBs as well.

And this is why NOT getting rid of this Staff (regardless of how the season finishes) would be a monumental mistake. People aren't looking at future potential, they are only chalking up our woes to bad luck with the arrests, etc. Our talent level has dropped every single year here due to poor recruiting. Flood's punishment for what transpired in August should be to have to coach next years team. We have talent holes all over the place next year. It's sad and very upsetting to me.

Oh, you forgot K & P, where we won't have anyone on scholarship...

I got sad and stopped typing.

Actually, I'm pretty sure we have a kicker in our 2016 class. No reason a frosh can't take over for Federico.

This is reality in a nut shell...Flood's recruiting sins coming to life.

And we think this year is tough to watch? Hold on fellas.

TE - Griffin will make significant impact next year. He will have the speed we are missing this year. We also have Flannigan and Scharfe. TE is not thin, maybe not good this year but not thin,

Turay is no longer injured and hasn't been for a month now.

WRs- the same guys who can't get open this year had good years last year, Grant and Patton. it's the offensive play calling and not the players.

DL - NExt year we will have both depth and skill on the DL, it won't be great but the output will be better than this year.

Kbee

I got chastised by many on this board for suggesting we are under recruiting the tight end and fullback position if we want to run a pro style offense

And yet we have two walk ons playing tight end in our playing rotation

Gotta look at the competition. WAZZOU(86), IU(105), KU(125), and NFSU all have putrid Pass Efficiency D's. For reference
we are 115th.
