Still a week out but things are looking pretty good, weather-wise for the Indiana game. Looks like a front comes through with some precip on Thursday into Friday, with clearing behind the front. This would lead to cool temps Saturday morning for the tailgates, with morning lows in the low 40s, but rising through the 40s and 50s during the morning, with a likely high near 60F (normal is 59/38F on 11/5). Right now things look to be dry with mostly sunny skies. This is a higher than normal confidence forecast for 7 days out, but being 7 days out, it's not a lock yet. With a struggling team, we need nice weather to get a decent crowd. Would be nice to get our first B1G win this season...

Thursday...A cold front makes its way into the region on Thursday.
Precipitation will move in from the west and gradually overspread
the forecast area through the day. Temperatures look to be warm so
there will be no threat for any frozen precipitation.

Friday...High pressure will return behind the cold front and should
persist into the weekend. Temperatures will cool off and become more
seasonable once again.

The "official" forecast still looks to be cool/mild and dry, if perhaps a little cooler than forecasted yesterday (highs in the mid-50s now), but we now have to worry a little about a shower or two on Saturday, as per the discussion below. Let's hope this threat doesn't materialize.

Conditions dry out late Thursday night as high pressure builds in
behind the front. Much cooler air follows, as well, with temps on
Friday in the mid to upper 40s across northern zones and around 60
across MD/DE.

Latest GFS/ECMWF have an upper trough/shortwave combo along with
a backdoor cold front diving into the Northeast on Saturday. Will
introduce slight chance PoPs on Saturday, but too soon to tell how
this will impact the region at this time. Temps could run a few
degrees below normal for next weekend.

Swear I posted yesterday, but I don't see it. Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue, lol. Anyway, lock it up for a cool start, a mild game and dry conditions. Temps will be in the mid/upper 30s before 8 am, rising into the 50s by noon and topping out near 60F under mostly sunny skies. Chances of showers are near zero.

No real change in the forecast, except that it might get a little breezy in the afternoon (~10 mph sustained winds with 15-20 mph gusts), which will make the game feel a little chillier, but it will still be nice with mostly sunny skies and temps in the mid/upper 50s during the afternoon. Still will be a cool start with temps in the mid/upper 30s before 8 am and tailgates mostly in the 40s (hitting 50F by 11 or 12) - winds will be light in the morning, however.

They've taken the breezy part of the forecast out (5-10 mph winds today) and upped the high temp to 63F during the afternoon. Should be a great day for tailgating and football. Now let's go win one...

Ran into an old buddy at the Parsippany @ Montville game last night.
He's a RU season ticket holder and had a few extras so I'm going.

Just stopped at the store and it's chilly.
Wear a red sweatshirt today.

Go RU!
