And I wasn't even upset. My wife was shocked, she said you spend so much time talking and reading Rutgers football, and your not upset? I told her I guess I'm just numb from all the beatings the upper tier B1G teams have given us the last 2 seasons. Am I alone in feeling this way on this board? I remember having trouble falling asleep after Rutgers loses in past years knowing we were a play here, or a play there from winning. Now I pretty much prepare myself for the inevitable beat down that's coming. Thanks Coach Flood,Thank you,not so much!!!

We're still numb, at least I am, and I've learned the fine art of shutting down. Eventually a water bottle will pay for it if something else goes really wrong when I'm holding it, but for now suppression is beneficial, even necessary. Water is only around 40 cents/bottle.

I didn't watch the game. It was peak weekend and I was going outside. I fully expected a blowout. I turned game on via radio in the 4th quarter and Lucas was glum and calling for Rettig. I knew RU was losing. Then I heard score and hoped Wisconsin hit 50. I hope RU loses every game from here on out until they make a looong overdue change. Keep that "real fan" bologna. Here's a pic from peak driveabout. Missing one leaf wasn't worth the RU game

Numb is the right word. Flood is now 2-21 vs winning teams. Two and twenty-one. It's gotten to the point now that I'm taking solace in us doing ANYTHING right. Up until the middle of last year, losses hurt so badly. Doing the death march out of that stadium last year against PSU was awful, but that was the last loss that truly hurt. Yesterday was another in a long line of gutless performances out of this coaching staff and I expect nothing else against anyone with a pulse. I found myself flipping over to watch the Devils, another team that no one gives a snowball's chance in hell of competing this year, fight for a win. Truly refreshing.

Until someone is brought in that can breathe some life into our program, I fear this is what we are. A 40 point win for the big boys and a desperation 25 point comeback against our fellow bottom feeders. It is what it is.

OK then, I was starting to feel guilty about not giving a $hit, but that is what this coaching staff has brought me to. Lets go to the video on Monday, forget fixing it during the game.

I did not bother watching because I knew what the end result would be! My wife ,son and I got tickets and went to the Devil game which turned out to be a great game! Plus they gave out Halloween bags to the kids and they all went trick or treating on the concourse of the arena. Doors opened at 11:30 for the pregame festivities. Much more exciting then the crap that is going on with our Rutgers Scarlet Knights on the football field! GO DEVILS!!!!

And so the attrition starts. Expect 38000 for Nebraska and if we lose 28000 for Maryland.

I watched, but at home, rather than a bar, since I was pretty sure it would be a blowout. Barely yelled and don't think I threw anything. My wife popped in at one point and asked if I was feeling ok, since I'd normally be a little more vocal when getting blown out, lol.

Exactly numbers, it's become so expected, I hardly even get worked up about it anymore, and that's a sad indication of where this program was, and where it's headed.

I watched the game up until the inevitable carnage really began at what seems to have become the usual time for that sort of thing to truly begin rolling, somewhere around midway in the 2nd quarter. -Then I started flipping between the game and SpongeBob Squarepants on the Nicktoons channel, with SpongeBob eventually becoming my main focus.

I figured since I had a choice between watching a tragedy or a comedy, I'd go with the comedy. (Although I suppose you could say that RU football now resembles a comedy at times, in a tragic sort of way.)
