Every year there seems to be southern bias in the rankings and crazy things happen in sports. With an election a week away and all the Presidential news not touching the actual candidate platforms but more about there past indiscretions I wonder which is crazier right now.

Please don't get into a political discussion of 1 candidate vs. the other.

At this point I think the election is crazier since college football will eventually be settled on the field.
- 5 SEC teams in the top 25
- 5 Big 10 teams in the top 25

Many of these teams still have to play each other.

With the election all we hear is about why the other candidate is bad and not enough details of why these candidates are good. And you have McMullin who can potentially steal Utah,

The election is more depressing than anything.

The 1st rankings are wacky as hell. but lets see what happens in a few weeks.

One thing is for sure, the B1G and SEC are far and away the two most respected conferences.

The Presidential race is a sh!tshow. This is my 12th as a registered voter and have never felt this depressed about where we are as a country.

Rankings are fairly accurate imo. There will always be a headscratcher or two. They'll tweak 'em as the go along. I have no doubt Washington will move up if they win the PAC12.

Right now I see the Final Four as

1. Bama
2. Michigan
3. Clemson
4. Washington

No matter who wins the election we will be the laughingstock of the free world . .This will be the election that sets us back 200 years. Sad indeed..

It's not even close. The equivalent scenario would be the first BCS rankings be something like
1. Missouri
2. Boston College
3. Mississippi
4. Kansas

Definitely the Election! The lesser of too many evils. A one shot deal with no playoff, but possibly a challenge from somebody.

The election and it isn't even close. In week 10 of 2006, the top 3 were Ohio State, Michigan, and West Virginia. In 2007 the top 3 were Ohio State, Boston College, and LSU with WVU #7. The recent 6 or 7 years of southern dominance was the aberration as we typically have a lot of mid-western, northern, and Texas teams in the rankings with a few western schools thrown in (hence the Pac-10/12 claim of "eastern bias").

300 million people in this country and these are the best two this country can come up with???? I don't know why they waste money on adds attacking each other.... They each do a good enough job of tripping over their own feet!!
