What's Flood's Excuse for Laviano STILL in the game (34-3, 6:00 to go in 3rd)

I forget who it was that pointed out that, for what Flood wants, Rettig is the better QB. But that doesn't mean Laviano is bad. its just that run, run, pass doesn't work well with a dink and dunk passer. If you have a guy that can hit 70% plus.. you want to pass on first down and get those 2nd and short 70%+ of the time. Instead we end up getting -2 to +2 yards on 1st down runs and end up in, at best, an average of 2nd and 7+.

So, Floods choice at QB doesn't even support what Flood wants to do.

It really is kinda crazy.

Can some one explain what Flood is feverishly writing on the sidelines after each play.

He seems more involved taking notes than paying attention to the game.

Having your star WR out with an ankle injury really had an impact with your ability to move the ball.
